Halloween Party

We're having a Halloween party at school.
I'm dressed up like Dracula. Man, I look cool!
I dyed my hair black and I cut off my bangs.
I'm wearing a cape and some fake plastic fangs.

I put on some makeup to paint my face white
like creatures that only come out in the night.
My fingernails, too, are all pointed and red.
There's no doubt I look like the evil undead.

My mom drops me off and I run into school
and suddenly feel like the world's biggest fool.
The other kids stare like I'm some kind of freak.
The Halloween party is not till next week.

Getting to know each other with a team work

The lesson begins and teacher Mabel brings an interesting and interactive game. Creativity is needed.
It all starts with teams created, words brought by categories like: time expressions, names for boys and girls, places to visit, things, situations and so on.

By the end of the exercise, each team had a nice story created based on a word from each category.
3 of the stories are following ;)

1st Story: recognize the authors?

In the evening Melanie and Bruno went to L.A. Before they caught the subway to the airport.
Melanie had a pencil in her hand to write the flight boarding gate.
They were going upstairs when the pencil fell. Melanie tried to catch it and she fell and bruise a leg, so she went to the hospital.
Next day Melanie was happy because her mother visited her at the hospital.

2nd Story: recognize the authors?

Once upon a time, there was a girl called Maura and a boy called Marco. They were brother and sister. They lived in Beja.
The father bought a bike for Marco.
The 2 kids went to a concert of Miley Cyrus. Maura was enthusiast because of the concert, but her brother was not because earlier that day he broke his feet while playing with his friends.
Eventually they went to the hospital.

2nd Story: recognize the authors?

Andreia and Gonçalo live in Romania.
In one afternoon they went to school by roller blades. On the way Gonçalo fell and he lost a pen and broke some books. They went to a shop to buy another pen, but then they were late for school and they got sad.
